"LifePrint" Unveiled: Parents Voluntarily Enrolling Their Children In The Criminal Justice System

WEST COVINA (KABC) -- A powerful new tool will help parents protect their children.

The biometric DNA fingerprinting system called Lifeprint was featured today in West Covina.

Lifeprint allows parents to scan their kids' fingerprints and place them into the FBI database.

Authorities say it will greatly increase the chance of locating a missing child because the system provides officials with a fingerprint profile, a DNA sample and a high resolution color photo.
